Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to announce the election of four new members to the Blue Hills Regional Technical School’s District School Committee.
The District School Committee consists of nine representatives from each of the towns of Avon, Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Holbrook, Milton, Norwood, Randolph and Westwood.
New to the committee this year is Clinton Graham representing the Town of Milton, Rachelle Jeanty representing the Town of Randolph, Sheila Vazquez representing the Town of Westwood and Taryn Mohan representing the Town of Holbrook. Last night, the District School Committee approved the recommendation of the school administration to cancel the winter 2020-2021 athletic season. As a school, we regret that this decision had to be made, but believe that it is in the best interest of our students and community to cancel the winter season. The inconsistency of athletic rules, the necessity of playing winter sports indoors, the difficulties of arranging travel for athletic teams and players, and the importance of prioritizing the technical and academic education and needs of our students led us to this decision.

As we prepare for the reopening of school, the health, safety and wellness of our student-athletes, coaches, game officials, and others associated with our athletic programs remain a top priority.
